Working here

What it is like to work here.

Here are four things to know about working at a small, family owned firm, including the parts that will not suit everyone.

  • Small company, wide job

Twenty-nine people cover three offices and a national team. Everyone does more than their title suggests, and your work is visible to the whole company.

  • You own your desk

Recruiters here run their own markets and their own client relationships. The role comes with a lot of autonomy and the accountability that goes with it.

  • Recruiting is a skill we teach

Many of our best recruiters came from retail, hospitality, the trades or the production floor. What we look for is how you handle a difficult conversation.

  • It is a relationship business

Most of the work is remembering people and following up when we said we would. If that is how you already work, we can teach you the rest.

How hiring works

How we hire.

Our hiring process has four steps, and it looks at more than your resume.

01

Send us something

Send a resume, a note about what you are good at, or call us. We care more about what you have done than how the resume is formatted.

02

A conversation about the work

We talk through the work in detail, so you leave the conversation knowing whether this job is right for you.

03

A fit assessment

You complete a structured assessment of how you handle the hardest parts of the job. We benchmark it against our strongest recruiters.

04

Meet the team

You meet the people you would work with, in the office you would work in, before either side commits.

What you get

What you get working here.

Here is what the job offers day to day.

  • A structured ramp program

New recruiters go through a structured ramp program. You learn what strong performance looks like before you are measured against it.

  • Ongoing business development training

Business development coaching is ongoing here. It continues long after your first week.

  • Three offices where the team works together

We work in person in Plattsburgh, Troy and Williston, and the team eats lunch together.

  • A team that knows each other

With twenty-nine people, the CEO knows what you are working on, and good work gets noticed.
